Northern Rhone Syrah from a man who knows Cornas better than most. Peppery, and it wants lamb.

Vinification The grapes are hand-picked, de-stemmed and vinified under controlled temperature. The wine is then aged 8 months partly in recent oak barrels and in tank. Tasting notes; Color: Beautiful cherry colour with hints of violet. On the nose: Small fruits such as blackcurrant and blackberry, with notes of pepper. This leads to a palate of strong yet silky approach with supple tannins, and beautiful, long finish with hints of spices and violet. Lovely with pork and chanterelle mushrooms, or pigeon casserole.
