Schroder & Schyler have been trading in Bordeaux since 1739, and this is their Medoc blend. The cheapest claret I have in stock.

The House Schröder & Schÿler is a Bordeaux merchant house, founded in 1739. Its Private Réserve range covers three appellations, Médoc, Margaux and Saint-Émilion, and each is a blend put together to show the style of its own appellation.

The Vineyard Fine gravel over a layer of clay that water can't get through.

Winemaking Fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel or concrete vats, then aged for 12 months in two-year-old oak barrels.

Tasting Note Deep, bright ruby. Red berries, a forest-floor note and a touch of spice. The tannins are firm enough to notice without getting in the way, and the whole thing is rich and balanced.

Blend Cabernet Sauvignon 70%, Merlot 20%, Cabernet Franc 10%
