Macon Solutre-Pouilly 2025, Domaine Seve

The newest white in the shop and the one I'd put on a summer table. Seve again, from the villages under the rock at Solutre. Our Mâcon Solutré-Pouilly is a regional appellation. "Mâcon-Villages". By decree in 2005, the name "Mâcon" followed by Solutré-Pouilly, designates the white wines produced in the area demarcated in the single village of Solutré-Pouilly. Our 1.25 hectares of vines planted in the Mâcon Solutré-Pouilly appellation are located at the entrance to Pouilly, on the heights and opposite the Roche de Solutré, and have Chardonnay as their sole grape variety. Our vines, which produce Mâcon Solutré-Pouilly, are also located in the commune of Solutré-Pouilly and come from several plots within the estate. Vinification in vats for 6 months allows the Chardonnay's freshness to fully express itself. The palate is balanced with lovely fruit, notes of citrus and fresh fruits and beautiful, persistent minerality. This fruity Mâcon Solutré-Pouilly with notes of citrus and fresh fruit comes from clay-limestone plots located in the commune of Solutré-Pouilly, it benefits from the very beautiful terroir of its famous big brother Pouilly-Fuissé. Perfect to accompany dinner aperitifs, "improved" salads, dry goat cheeses...
