Merlot-led Lalande de Pomerol from just over the stream from Pomerol, and a younger, cheaper way in than the Fleur de Bouard.
The Appellation Lalande-de-Pomerol sits just north of Pomerol, across the little Barbanne stream, and like its neighbour it is Merlot country.
Tasting Note Fresh blackberry, liquorice and spice. Medium-bodied, with good texture and balance, and a leafy, mineral edge underneath.
Blend Merlot 70%, Cabernet Franc 30%
