Côte de Beaune
A key wine-producing district of Burgundy in the east of France.
The Côte de Beaune area is the southern part of the Côte d'Or, the limestone ridge that is home to the great names of Burgundy wine. The Côte de Beaune starts between Nuits-Saint-Georges and Beaune, and extends southwards for about 25 km to the river Dheune. The trend of producing red wines continues from the Côte de Nuits to the north, down through Beaune, although the wines become lighter and more perfumed. Farther south lie the great names of white Burgundy such as Meursault and Chassagne-Montrachet.

18" natural wicker hamper basket made from steamed autumn willow, finished with sturdy faux leather straps for closing the hamper baskets. Willow is naturally sustainable as it grows prolifically throughout the northern hemisphere and is harvested regularly through the year. For a more natural finish, we boil our willow for 6 - 8 hours to achieve the dark colour rather than using varnish or dyes.
This 18" wicker basket is ideal for use as a food gift hamper and will comfortably hold any bottles. As this product is hand-made, the size and colour varies from batch to batch, however we think this only adds to the wicker hampers natural charm.
Included is wood wool is a natural product made from kiln dried wood shavings. No chemicals are used in the production of wood wool, so it’s safe for use with food. Use it to protect goods in transit or as a natural alternative to shredded paper.
