Côte de Beaune
A key wine-producing district of Burgundy in the east of France.
The Côte de Beaune area is the southern part of the Côte d'Or, the limestone ridge that is home to the great names of Burgundy wine. The Côte de Beaune starts between Nuits-Saint-Georges and Beaune, and extends southwards for about 25 km to the river Dheune. The trend of producing red wines continues from the Côte de Nuits to the north, down through Beaune, although the wines become lighter and more perfumed. Farther south lie the great names of white Burgundy such as Meursault and Chassagne-Montrachet.

I drank this nearly two years ago and unsuprisingly nowhere near ready to drink! Now this is very enjoyable - a little bit of bottle age really can make an enormous benefit. Enjoy.
After a winter marked by temperature variations between January and February, spring began gently. Coolness and heat followed one another between April and May with a significant rainfall deficit that could not be compensated for by the storms of June. The summer was marked by several fairly long heatwaves and the arrival of storms at the end of August had a very beneficial effect before the start of the harvest. At Chanson, the harvest began on August 30 and ended on September 13. The 2022 vintage was very generous in volume and the quality is also there with well-balanced, precise and fresh white wines.
